Ever tried sticking something to you wall thinking that it should hold, well what teacher hasn’t? Trying to tape something to the painted over cinder block walls in a school can be very frustrating. Usually something will hold for a little while well but as always it will eventually fall off. If you’re looking for something that can really hold your wall decor and student work to the wall then Gorilla Tape is the product for you. A fellow colleague had this exact problem. They had actually bought special wall tape from a teachers magazine that did absolute nothing and was quite pricey for how little you got. This situation literally went on for days trying to hang things up on the wall until my colleague found a new product in which has now a staple product in my classroom, Gorilla Tape. Gorilla Tape in every sense of its name is that strong and lasting. Once applied the Gorilla Tape was applied the wall decor stayed up for the rest of the year.
Gorilla Tape actually has a whole line of adhesives that expands from different tape sizes and tape functions to glue and the different applications for its glue as well. In this case I have only had experience using their black rolled tape. Initially I only used their smaller roll of black tape just as any cautious optimist would. However, after having used the smaller roll of Gorilla Tape it was a no-brainer that the bigger roller was a better and more cost effective option once I became convinced it would legitimately hold anything I wanted up on the walls.
How effective Gorilla Tape actually is ultimately is up to you. What I mean by this is I can get really stingy at times and when I tape things up I like to use the smallest possible pieces of tape, which is exactly what I do with Gorilla Tape. With an off the head estimation doing it the way I do I would say that 95% of everything will stay on your wall for the entire year. Some will certainly fall down especially because of temperature changes your walls may endure throughout the year, but to be perfectly honestly, Gorilla Tape does an excellent job at resisting temp changes and maintaining its adhesiveness.
Overall, Gorilla Tape is worth every penny and a roll can last a pretty long time too. So there are no worries about burning through rolls and rolls. Again this can be attributed to the effectiveness of its adhesiveness. Next time you’re looking for new tape, go buy some Gorilla Tape and see how it goes for you.
