One of the things I have always been interested in with the internet is the multiple ways you can make money online. This is nothing new to the internet as it has been around for as long as I can remember. Often sites or apps that offer money making powers also make it difficult — discouraging continued use and eventually they take all the money you couldn’t cash out due to their minimum threshold. In my experience and from what I have read on my own time is that some sites are purposely set up like this. However, despite the warnings given I don’t mind giving something a try just to make sure, no matter the site or the app, there will always be positive and negative experiences. Sometimes you have to do some truth digging on your own, but at least you are forewarned to a degree. What I will post in here are tried tested and true sites, (sites that have apps) and apps that have actually worked and paid out for me. No you will not get rich and yes it takes a bit of time and a degree of effort for your earnings. However, if you’re a long term thinker, it is not at all unreasonable to think you could make $500 or more in a year from the various sites I’m about to discuss with you. You certainly can make more, but that depends on how much time you have to spare and are willing to put into it as well.  Also, I will provide a referral link where applicable, and it would be greatly appreciated if you did use it.  Not all sites/apps will work in every country, however, if you do live in Canada or the United States, more often than not they always work in both countries.

This first post about making money online will focus on two very similar sites. Also I chose these  two sites as a starting point as to not to overload you with so many options. So give it a whirl, seff if it is something you might be interested in trying out. In the coming weeks I will continue to post more sites that have paid out, and that are similar in nature.

Swagbucks:

This site I have used off and on for years. I’ll be honest I had lost a bit of respect for it. As it became more widely used and popular based on the fact it is legitimate and actually pays out, they became stingy, the old supply vs. demand philosophy. However, that being said, I have almost made a grand total of $100 from this site, most of it made when I first started using it. You can be paid out in various ways such as  PayPal for cash or you can  receive  gift cards. My two favorites are Starbucks and Amazon. Since I have kind of gone in waves using this site I definitely haven’t maximized the potential earnings I could have. Some sites I have read have shown how you can simply make around $300 a year doing the bare minimum. (link site here), which is pretty substantial from one site alone. What I should mention here is that Swag-bucks has very low payouts, you can receive gift cards as low as $3. However, you will have to work a bit hard for PayPal, which you can only cash out once you hit $25, and it only pays out exactly that amount meaning any remaining change stays in your Swag Account. One final point many pay sites can be picky about location, particularly if it is for earning while watching videos. To best of my knowledge anyone located in the United States or Canada have little or no limitations.

Main Ways to Earn:

  • watch videos
  • complete Surveys
  • sign up for trail offers (free/pay)

Payouts:

  • PayPal (cash)
  • Various gift card options

Grabpoints:

I was initially very impressed by this site it was actually much easier to earn money on here than Swagbucks and still is. I’ve made 5 dollars in about 2 1/2 days (a bit of grinding involved too). The only real negative I will have to say is that your points will expire if you take some time away. You will receive notifications, before any action is taken but they are serious when they say they will.  It happened to me twice. I was not very impressed by this. Swagbucks on the other hand will never allow your points to expire, (or it hasn’t happened to me in my experience) which is why despite their low earnings I still like them. On the flip-side of things it is much easier to earn money using Grabpoints. I have found even if my points have expired I can earn them much way faster than I can on Swagbucks. Grabpoints is very similiar to Swagbucks so getting used to either site wont take long. What I also prefer about Grabpoints over Swagbucks is that they have a lower payout for PayPal starting off at $3, $5, $10, $20, $50. The only catch with the $3 payout is that you’ll spend a bit more points than if you want until you reach $5, after that it is all the same. I recommend getting paid out every time at $5 just to avoid the potential of having your points expire.
